What happens to your data?
When an account deletion request is processed, Dailydoubt irreversibly purges your records across all active cloud database tables. Here is the exact breakdown:
- Account Credentials: Profile name, registered 10-digit Indian mobile number, email address, and unique authentication ID (
auth.uid()). - Shop Profile Information: Shop name, merchant details, address, and local app preferences.
- Daily Ledger Entries: All daily collections, 7-category business expense logs, home draw figures, net profit calculations, and custom transaction notes.
- GST Invoicing Data: Customer bill-to records, sequential invoice numbers, HSN/SAC codes, CGST & SGST tax amounts, and payment histories.
- Smart Calculator History: Calculation audit notes and historical calculation logs.
- Database Rows: All records across all 9 PostgreSQL application tables protected by Row Level Security (RLS).
- No Ongoing Financial Retention: Dailydoubt does not retain your business financial records, expense numbers, or invoices after account deletion is confirmed.
- Support Correspondence: If you submit a web request, records of the email correspondence are retained for up to 90 days solely as legal proof of fulfilling your deletion request and for fraud prevention.
- Backup Purge Cycles: Encrypted system snapshot backups maintained by cloud infrastructure providers are automatically overwritten and purged within 30 days.
- Tax Compliance Advisory: Under Indian tax laws (e.g. Section 36 of CGST Act 2017), registered taxpayers must maintain accounts and records for 72 months (6 years). We recommend exporting your Excel / PDF reports before deleting your account.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover my account or ledger entries after deletion?
No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once our servers delete your records, your daily collections, categorized expenses, and invoices cannot be restored by Dailydoubt support.
How can I save my data before deleting my account?
Open the Dailydoubt app, go to the Reports section, and export your historical data to an Excel (.xlsx) spreadsheet or PDF document. You can save these files to your device or Google Drive before requesting deletion.
Does deleting the app from my phone delete my account?
No. Simply uninstalling or deleting the application icon from your Android phone does not delete your cloud account or ledger history. To delete your cloud records, you must either use the in-app Delete Account option before uninstalling, or submit a request to support.dailydoubt@gmail.com.
How long does manual web request deletion take?
Once our support team confirms account ownership with you, your account and all associated data are permanently purged from active databases within 7 business days.
